CHER - BELIEVE - SONG TRANSCRIPTION IN PHONETICAL FORMAT

Hi, folks.
Here, it goes a song by Cher, and as this music is very energetic, it is good do listen to it, and dance the night away.

Although, it talks about life after love, don't ever stop loving. You'd better love and believe there's life during and after love.

Now, see this...
If you're a student, and you know something about phonemes, take your time and enjoy the song in phonetical format.

If you're a teacher, here's a suggestion to use the following methodology:

1 - play the song so that students listen to it;
2 - play it once more, but pausing after each part;
3 - ask them to try to write down the parts they've listened to;
4 -  check up the words they've written down;
5 - provide them the lyrics in phonetical format;
6 -  listen again, and make the corrections according to the song.

Make sure that this song is used only for didactical and pedagogical purposes. See that the chart contains the lyrics in phonetical format on the left side, and on the right, lines are provided so that students may write down the lines as they listen to the song. Copy the image, paste it to a document in a word processor, and then share with your students.

As this song shows many sentences containing interrogative phrases, a hint the teacher may use is to ask the students questions relating the tenses used in the song, and personal pronouns that will be found in the lyrics.

For, intermediate and advanced students, the teacher may ask more complex questions regarding belief in something abstract or whatever. Start a discussion and then train singing with them.

Enjoy yourself and sing it.
