As the song is quite easy to understand, there's something one can do to train his/her ears. A teacher can and needs to do something to train his/her students' hearing and listening ability. If you're a teacher, here's a suggestion to use the following methodology:

1 - play the song so that students listen to it;
2 - play it once more, but pausing after each part;
3 - ask them to try to write down the parts they listened;
4 -  check up the words they wrote down;
5 - provide them the lyrics in phonetical format
6 -  listen again, and make the corrections according to the song.


Make sure that this song is used only for didactical and pedagogical purposes.
