KATY PERRY - HOT 'N COLD - (SONG TRANSCRIPTION IN PHONETICAL FORMAT).

Hi, folks.
Now, a song for you to learn and to teach how to sing.

If you're a student, and you know something about phonemes, take your time and enjoy singing the song. Try t write down and sing along.

If you're a teacher, here's a suggestion to use the following methodology:

1 - play the song so that students listen to it;
2 - play it once more, but pausing after each part;
3 - ask them to try to write down the parts they've listened to;
4 - check up the words they've written down;
5 - provide them the lyrics in phonetical format;
6 - listen again, and make the corrections according to the song.

Make sure that this song is used only for didactical and pedagogical purposes. See that the chart contains the lyrics in phonetical format on the left side, and on the right, traced lines are provided so that students may write down the words as they listen to the song. Copy the image, paste it to a document in a word processor, and then share with your students.
This song shows many words with opposite meanings, so the hint here is for the teacher to start asking the students questions related to antonyms in order for them to find out in the song these opposition words.
Certainly they will be able to identify in the the lyrics.

For, intermediate and advanced students, the teacher may ask questions more complex questions regarding a person's change in behavior due to PMS (Pre-Menstrual Syndrome).

Enjoy yourself and sing it.
